[MPlayer-users] Capturing streaming video

How do I capture a stream that uses the mms:// protocol and is a wmv?  I
can get the web address because mplayer-plugin plays the video but I
want to save it.  I would normally just wget address but this isn't
working. 

mplayer mms://host/dir/chapter14^mgwhztaq.wmv -dumpstream -dumpfile
test.wmv  didn't work
wget mms://host/dir/chapter14^mgwhztaq.wmv didn't work
wget http://host/dir/chapter14^mgwhztaq.wmv didn't work
