Hi,

The problem is that video output starts, sound is not heard and 
after 3 to 6 seconds of playing mplayer freezes - reproducible on any 
video file.
Video ivtv alone works fine, using -ao alsa gets me sound but using 
that solution needs to set the -delay option which seems to depend on 
full moon for the right setting.
