[MPlayer-users] problems building 1.0rc1 in FC5

I'm trying to build 1.0rc1 in FC5-x86, and its blowing up here:

I also tried with gcc-4.1.1 (the FC5 default), and that failed with
exactly the same error.  Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
