I neither get the message nor the increasing A-V delay (though video
does not play smooth (-fps 25 improves this)).
But also
mplayer http://streamer.hirtv.net/hirtv.asf
does not work for me, only
mmshttp://streamer.hirtv.net/hirtv.asf
does.
