MPlayer 1.0pre8-3.4.4 is rather old too 8-). Please use Subversion
instead and compile from sources, quotation from download page at
mplayerhq.hu:
You can also get MPlayer via Subversion. Issue the following
command to get the latest sources:
svn checkout svn://svn.mplayerhq.hu/mplayer/trunk mplayer
A directory named mplayer will be created in the current
directory. You can later update your sources by typing
svn update
from within that directory.
