[MPlayer-users] cdvc codec

Hi all,

I'm trying to decode an avi video file. The video codec is, as
mencoder informs me, cdvc (Canopus DV Codec). In the codecs.conf file
I've found that I need the mcdvd_32.dll in order to decode the video
sequence. I've copied this dll from my windows machine (from the
adobe premiere map) to the correct map in my linux machine. So far so
good...
Now I can 'decode' the video sequence (mencoder gives no errors).
However when I open this file with an standard player all frames are
very bad. The file contains no errors (I've checked with vlc). What I
see is a mix of grey and colored blocks.

Has anybody had any experience with decoding this type of codec? Or
does anybody have any pointers on where to look for more information?

thanks, Philippe.
