Hi everyone,

I would be very grateful if someone could possibly help me with
this error message I get when playing streams with mplayer:
"Couldn't resolve name for AF_INET6:". Here's an example:

[andrei at tux-7 ~]$ gmplayer rtsp://212.54.100.33/video/DATA-2006-05-
28-18-59.rm

Compiled for x86 CPU with extensions: MMX MMX2 3DNow 3DNowEx SSE

Playing rtsp://212.54.100.33/video/DATA-2006-05-28-18-59.rm.
STREAM_RTSP, URL: rtsp://212.54.100.33/video/DATA-2006-05-28-18-

.... bla, bla, bla ...
the stream is playied perfectly otherwise. I am really annoyed by
this infamous error message. Please help me eliminate it.

I've investigate a little bit and the only links I could find are:
http://www.debianhelp.org/module-pnForum-viewtopic-topic-10758.html
and
http://tldp.org/HOWTO/Linux+IPv6-HOWTO/systemcheck-kernel.html
but I couldnt find the cure...

Yours,
John
