[MPlayer-users] Problem with mencoder

Hi out there.
I am about to convert several movies from mpg/xvid/divx to
DVD-compilant output. I've tried to use mencoder as described
here:

but I always get a "memory allocation error". I have tried
different systems (FC3, FC4, RHEL3, Intel/AMD CPUs ...)
but I always have this problem ...
Here is one example output:
