As far as I am aware I am using ALSA. If I open the configuration
options within the gui that is what it shows. I am not sure how to
verify it though when running mplayer.

As far as using mplayer vs gmplayer, I don't think the same problem
would exist. This only happens at the end of a file or when I select
open for a new file after I finished playing one already. It seems to
be more prominant with AVI's but I have had it with other media as
well. With mplayer it just closes when it gets to the end of the file.
I like using gmplayer (because I like having the menu and visual
display that the controls give me), but do you think I should try
another frontend?? If so what can you suggest?

Also I posted earlier about a video that the audio was screwed up
(video can be found here http://files4.bungie.org/10waysHQ.mov ). I
opened it in mplayer and noticed the log, and this is what it stated.

It almost seems that there are two audio tracks playing at the same
time, or that it is grabbing the audio from two different places on
the same track. "Dominik 'Rathann' Mierzejewski" confirmed this. The
file does seem to play normally on xine, gxine, and noatune. Just
wondering if there is anything I can do so I can play it in mplayer
rather than using another program.

Thanks for the help.
Jeremy
