It might be a good idea to put some comment paraphrasing this on the
relevant Web page, so that people about to change to digest mode will
not be able to avoid seeing it without specifically trying.

I did have a shot at phrasing such a comment, but the results were
coming out extremely clunky, and I'm quite sure that it is possible to
do better.
