[MPlayer-users] sample file which crashes mplayer

Hi
Some days ago I have mentioned a bug in the topic "Corrupted movie file
crashes mplayer". So I have uploaded the sample in my web folder. Since the
web account is free type, it only allows less than or equal to 5 mb of
upload at a time. Also my internet connection is dial up. So I have split
those to 1 mb pieces using dd command. So download them (links below) and
join them using the command:-

cat part1.mpg part2.mpg part3.mpg part4.mpg part5.mpg part6.mpg part7.mpg
part8.mpg part9.mpg part10.mpg part11.mpg part12.mpg part13.mpg part14.mpg >
sample.mpg

The joined file "sample.mpg" is smoothly playable by mplayer (I have tested
it) and also you can find out the problem I have mentioned.

I suggest you some steps to track the bug :-

1) Play the file from first to last and see the problem.

2) Again play the file. After the video problem try to rewind or forward to
the good portion using the cursor keys and see if the problem recovers.

3) Again play the file and try to skip the bad portion using the cursor keys
and see if there is any more problem.

You will see that mplayer is not able to recover from the problem after
encountering it. But xine is able to recover by dropping the bad frames.
Xine reports frame dropping in a pop up message box. You can try it on xine.

I hope that this sample is enough. Please inform me if more info is needed.

After downloading them please inform me (indiansandip at gmail.com) so that I
can delete them. They have eaten up almost all the spaces in my web folder.
They have given me only 15 mb space.
