You probably installed MPlayer into /usr/local, and /usr/local/lib
probably isn't in your LD_LIBRARY_PATH. Either set that or
move/copy/link the libs in /usr/local/lib to /usr/lib or configure
with --prefix=/usr to install MPlayer below /usr instead of /usr/local.
