Not true. My Athlon64 3200+ can play the 1080p Serenity trailer in
realtime, in most places with over 30% CPU to spare (with -vo gl -dr and
a nVidia GeForce FX Go 5700).
What really will not work are the trailers using cabac encoding. And
last time I checked, CoreAVC did not play those at all.
