[MPlayer-users] mplayer performance

 G'day,

I have an amd64 3700+, 1gb ram, a nebula digi tv, and an ati 9250 se 
64mb graphics card.

The os is 64bit linux from gentoo.

In general watching TV with mplayer is very good.

If there is a darkish object and it moves sideways, then every second 
line will stay as per the example below.

eg

This gets very annoying.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
