[MPlayer-users] GIF fourcc revisited

Hi all,

Going back a few months there was mention of problems getting Quicktime files 
to play that contained the GIF fourcc.

I too have come across this problem recently...
Cannot find codec matching selected -vo and video format 0x20666967.

Here's the full output, the file is the high res. movie trailer (17MB) 
obtained from http://www.jurassicpunk.com/movies/kungpow.shtml

Earlier MPlayer releases produce the same and FFMpeg's ffplay also suffers the 
same fate...

However, unlike the user from the archived message VLC & Xine have no problems 
& play the file perfectly.
