I get pretty much the same thing. MPlayer dev-SVN-r18673-3.3 on Mac
OS X 10.4.6. I noticed an interesting little thing, just about a
second and a half before the stream stopped:

And if it was JUST a problem with MPlayer speaking MMS or something
like that, I might say "yeah, that's probably it." However, just on a
hunch, I ran the URL through VLC (0.8.2). Exact same problem. It spat
back this error, though:
access_mms: reinitialization needed --> unsupported
So, I ran the MMS stream through MPlayer with the -v option.
