[MPlayer-users] MEncoder slowdown

Hi again, I send an email yesterday about the performance slowdown I'm having 
when using MEncoder with XviD 1.1.0 to encode DVDs. I checked out the docs 
and compared the 've_xvid4.c' file with the one used in MPlayer 1.0pre7try2. 
The default settings at the top of this file are the same compared to the 
previous version, but again I'm seeing a huge performance loss on my system. 
When I switch back to MPlayer 1.0pre7, everything is just fine. Am I doing 
something wrong here? Below are the options I use with MEncoder

mencoder dvd://1 -vf scale=512:384:0 -sws 10 -aid 128 -channels 4 -oac lavc 
-lavcopts acodec=ac3:abitrate=192 -ovc xvid -xvidencopts
