[MPlayer-users] Question about -lavdopts threads

If you use -lavdopts threads=# does it slow down the decoding at all. I 
was wondering as I have a dual processor computer and I was wondering 
if it would give speedups for some 720p h264 video files I have. I 
didn't feel like doing a benchmark test myself as for one I don't know 
how to do it and also I think it would be a lot of work.
