Alsa drivers (but mplayer is using -ao oss), on a Linux 2.4.x (kernel)
system, with recent SVN snapshot (though that shouldn't matter, I have
no problems with 1.0pre7 as well).

Pretty much just the ones I already listed.  -mc accepts float values
from 0 - 10, so...
