Hello,
I am using the embedded mplayer in Firefox 1.5.0.3 on a Linux SuSE 10.1
(KDE 3.5.1), my graphic card is a nVidia Riva TNT2 model 64 pro.
1. I was very happy using the mplayer until my last
SuSE-Software-update. Ever since that update mplayer is flickering very
strong while loading a file. After having loaded the cache, the movie
starts with regular timing and sound, only it flickers until the file is
completely loaded. Having finished loading, the film can be viewed fine.
2. Also my menu-options somehow disappeared, so I can't change the
cache-size etc. anymore, neither am I able to pause or stop the video.
This remains even when the file is completely loaded.
The first problem occurs in most files (about 90%). I can't view for
example:
Yet there are some files which do not flicker, for example the movies on:
which might be because the later ones are javascript-popups.
However, the second bug occurs permanently.
I have been posting this bug on the Mozilla-site and three Linux-forums,
yet I haven't even found someone having experienced this very bug, which
puzzles me. So if anyone has even the slightest idea, please tell me.
Thank you.
