[MPlayer-users] cannot views streams fr some video news sources

hi,
using mplayer pre8 and and mozilla-firefox-1.5 with mplayerplug-in v3.25. 
testing out the combo with some video news streams. can handle videos in abcnews and cbsnews but not cnn nor new york times.

the urls are:
http://edition.cnn.com/video/
http://www.nytimes.com/pages/multimedia/index.html?excamp=GGGNnewsvideo

could someone pls try them out and tell me why?
