why would you want to use WMV? WMP should play AVIs just fine.

Or he could just fix output FOURCC to read "XVID" or "DX50" instead
of "M4FP". That should be good enough.
I find it odd, though, that you're asking how to create videos that
will play in Windows. You have MPlayer! MPlayer will play the videos!
No questions asked. Unless you're just creating this for someone
else. In that case, I, again, recommend MPlayer. You'll just get a
much better experience out of it.
