MPlayer's error messages aren't the most... informative...

MPlayer doesn't _just_ use Win32 DLLs, it also has numerous native
codecs built-in, from ffmpeg/libavcodec, libmpeg, libtheora, libxvid,
libdivx, etc. You can run "mplayer -vc help" to get a list. It has
VP3, and many others without needing DLLs, but not VP6.

Well I don't have any ideas. If you want the bug found, you need to
file a full bugreport as the crash message tells you to.
