So, I got my brother to put them into my computer and the I made a
little remote session from work ;)

The Disc is Seinfeld Season 6, 1st Disc.

if I install libdvdread (version 0.9.4) I find the program title_info in
the src-directory.

in this directory a program called disc_id is also included. Issuing
this command delivers:

#./disc_id /dev/cdroms/cdrom0

d927930945c0b3c3a7d55fe14378df61

(so you can compare it)

As you can see I'm using a rather old kernel with devfs.

if I enter

#./title_info /dev/cdroms/cdrom0 1 > title1

I get the file attached. The first title set has 109 cell commands (all
the other titles have 0). If I play the first title for about 25
seconds, then mplayer hangs. I can Ctrl-C it, but dmesg prints:

and on and on and on until sector 1242564

As for my system: although it's quite ancient and the CD-ROM driver are
the scsi ones (for sake of CD-Recording with a 2.4-Kernel), it doesn't
work on a newer (my brother's computer with 2.6.12.5 kernel and no devfs
and atapi driver), so that should not be the issue. New information will
be soon available when I finally upgrade my complete system from K6-III
400 MHz to a Athlon64X2 *I'm so excited*

cheers,
Alex
