[MPlayer-users] Forcing playback size independent of window size

I have a video that I play like this

mplayer -vf scale=640:-3 video_to_play.mov

However, if I grab the window that is playing and resize it, the video is
resized, how can I force mplayer to keep the same playback size, independent of
the size of the window it is playing in?
