[MPlayer-users] cutting a vob file

Hello all,

I would like to cut a file.vob (ripped from DVD with mplayer -dumpstream 
option).

And now while learning more about mencoder, I am trying to start on 
small vob sample before encoding to xvid.

So I tried this command to cut file.mpeg  and have only few  mega bytes 
or minutes/

mplayer -dumpstream -ss 100 -endpos 160 file.moeg.

but mplayer continue dumping all the 4 GB.

Is something wrong with the command line , or something wrong with my 
mplayer version||compilation
