Hello,
I have just installed a Hauppauge PVR-150 in my Fedora 6 system and
loaded the ivtv kernel modules. Here is the relevant dmesg info:
[...]
ivtv0: Autodetected Hauppauge WinTV PVR-150
ivtv0: Encoder revision: 0x02050032
ivtv0: Registered device video0 for encoder MPEG
ivtv0: Registered device video32 for encoder YUV
ivtv0: Registered device vbi0 for encoder VBI
ivtv0: Registered device video24 for encoder PCM audio
ivtv0: Registered device radio0 for encoder radio
tuner 4-0061: type set to 38 (Philips PAL/SECAM multi (FM1216ME MK3))
ivtv0: Initialized Hauppauge WinTV PVR-150, card #0
[...]
For example, entering this on the command line:
$ mplayer -tv driver=v4l2:width=640:height=480:outfmt=i420 -vc rawi420 tv://
or even simply this:
$ mplayer -tv driver=v4l2 tv://
generates a nasty looking error message with a backtrace:
[...]
v4l2: ioctl request buffers failed: Invalid argument
v4l2: 0 frames successfully processed, 0 frames dropped.
v4l2: ioctl set mute failed: Bad file descriptor
*** glibc detected *** mplayer: double free or corruption (fasttop):
0x09fa3fd8 ***
======= Backtrace: =========
[..]
MPlayer interrupted by signal 6 in module: demux_open
[...]
Any ideas or suggestions as to getting mplayer to work with this card
would be most appreciated.
I am running kernel v2.6.18-1.2849, mplayer v1.0rc1 installed via the Livna rpm.
Thanks.
