[MPlayer-users] OSD defunct when running mplayer 1.0rc1.

Greetings,
I've just reinstalled my machine and tried out the 1.0rc1 version
under Windows. Everything looks and works fine except the OSD, in
previous versions (0.90 is the one I've been using primarily) my
pressing of the 'o' button shows me the length of the clip I am
watching at the moment. This doesn't happen in 1.0rc1, I just see
icons for play, fwd, etc.

I read the section on UTF-8 but I have been unable to solve the
problem by trying around with various fonts.

Is this problem familiar to someone? Any hints or suggestions?
