No, I had thought mencoder didn't exit cleanly on TERM, but now that I 
look I see that's not the case. Both mencoder and mplayer handle SIGINT, 
SIGQUIT, and SIGTERM identically. mencoder also behaves the same with 
SIGHUP and SIGPIPE.
