Good day!!

I've been using mplayer for quite some time now and I am very happy with it..
It can play almost all kinds of media format I feed into it including
streaming urls..

Right now, in our company, we are using "Helix" to stream live and on-demand
videos.. However, I just found out in google that I can also do this in
mplayer(using ffmpeg??).. Right now I'm looking for alternative solutions but
there are so many of them. If I could just use mplayer to stream everything
(audio/video) whether it is live or on-demand, I would happily use it because
of it's support to a wide range of audio/video format.. I hope you could shed
a light on this one... I really love using mplayer (even without gui)....

video streaming (on demand vs. live)
- shoutcast/apache (on demand)
- helix
- vlc
- darwin streaming server
- fluendo
- dyne.org
- mplayer
- gini
- ffserver

audio streaming
- shoutcast
- icecast
- apache mod_mp3
- gnump3d
- xbms
- gini
- icegenerator
- darkice

Thank you very much..
Have a nice day!!!
