[MPlayer-users] Installing MPEG-2 decoder on Windows

I was surprised that all M$ options cost:

My original decoder on desktop was probably uninstalled when i upgraded 
NVidia driver.

Is it possible to "re-use" the MPEG-2 decoder installation from a 
Windows/Linux laptop?
