[MPlayer-users] mencoder: problem with deinterlacing dv2 avi files.

Hallo
The command below deinterlaces 25 fps mpeg-2 stream to 50 fps:

mencoder -oac copy -fps 50 -ofps 50 -vf tfields -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:vbitrate=8000:autoaspect mov.mpg -o mov.xvid.avi

mplayer replays such stream as 50 fps and all looks nice.

But when I do the same command, but as a source there is a miniDV dv2 file, mplayer is not fluent, it looks like it was 25 fps or even worse.

Below there is a trace of mencoder and mplayer.

Have you got any idea what might be the reason ?
