Corey,
Thanks. Now stupid question. How to I compile a 32-bit mplayer on my 64-bit system? Sorry to be dense. I just moved from a dual-CPU 32-bit platform to this 64-bit platform and this is the first nuiance I've come across. I'm sure there will be others.
Regards,
Brad

I downloaded the lastest mplayer build with cvs today but it doesn't seem to be picking up the codecs. I installed them just like I did on the other platform. Here's some into to help prime the well:Yes, unfortunately, since the win32 codecs are 32-bit, they don't work with a 64-bit mplayer. You can still use a 32-bit mplayer with an athlon64 and a 64-bit kernel, but you won't get the performance benefit (small, but significant).Personally, I maintain a 32-bit mplayer in a chroot for the odd occasion when I want to play something that requires a win32 codec, and use 64-bit mplayer the rest of the time.-Corey_______________________________________________MPlayer-users mailing listMPlayer-users at mplayerhq.huhttp://mplayerhq.hu/mailman/listinfo/mplayer-users
