[MPlayer-users] Feature Request: full ASS and SSA subtitle support

If full ASS and SSA subtitle support would be added it would make many 
things much easier for me. I watch anime in mkv format files often and 
the subtitles are usually in ASS format. Mplayer supports ASS except 
for the fact that it cannot read positioning, coloring, and font/font 
size settings. ASS is SSA but with more features. Here is a link to the

It describes the SSA format in black and any added features of ASS in 
red.

I had read somewhere that because of the limitations of the OSD this 
was currently impossible. So I am also suggesting if need be a redesign 
of the OSD (from my use of it it doesn't appear to be very advanced 
anyway). (Sorry if I sound rude at all in this.)
