Hello,

has anyone tried viewing WMV video material from the
www.purepwnage.com website? neither mplayer nor xine
seems to be able to handle it. One of the videos ("d9-19100101925.wmv")
has intermittent but short chunks of audio, and the mostly frozen
video, with an occasional bit of movement.

I'm running Fedora CORE 4 on Intel. Mplayer version:

  $ mplayer --version
  MPlayer 1.0pre7-3.2.3 (C) 2000-2005 MPlayer Team
  CPU: Intel Pentium 4/Xeon/Celeron Foster (Family: 8, Stepping: 4)
  Detected cache-line size is 64 bytes
  CPUflags:  MMX: 1 MMX2: 1 3DNow: 0 3DNow2: 0 SSE: 1 SSE2: 1
  Compiled for x86 CPU with extensions: MMX MMX2 SSE SSE2

installed codecs:

	mplayer-codecs-all-20050412.tar.bz2

I have tried two videos from this site:

  -rw-r--r--  1 urban users 10393182 Jul 12 10:05 d1-19203051077.wmv
  -rw-r--r--  1 urban users  9868306 Jul 11 07:10 d9-19100101925.wmv

neither are played correctly. Here's a sample session:

  $ mplayer d1-19203051077.wmv
  MPlayer 1.0pre7-3.2.3 (C) 2000-2005 MPlayer Team
  CPU: Intel Pentium 4/Xeon/Celeron Foster (Family: 8, Stepping: 4)
  Detected cache-line size is 64 bytes
  CPUflags:  MMX: 1 MMX2: 1 3DNow: 0 3DNow2: 0 SSE: 1 SSE2: 1
  Compiled for x86 CPU with extensions: MMX MMX2 SSE SSE2
