[MPlayer-users] forced gui locales

I understend, that situation is made by messed locales in system 
(iso8859-2 vs UTF).
GUI interface in gtk+2 is allways polish and allways without polish chars.
English gui would be enough for me but, I compiled cvs mplayer with flags:
1. --language=pl
2. --language=en
3. --disable-langinfo
4. With --disable-setlocale, I tried but I've got - unknown parameter.
5. With --enable-old-gtk compilations fails.
And it is anyway like above.

How to disable international for gtk+2 gui?
