[MPlayer-users] mplayer cannot play this internet TV stream

Hi Larry,

Thanks for your effort. I am corresponding with the
streamtv team to trace down the problem. I am not
familiar with the danish language either but I live in
Denmark and the TV licence is really expensive. So
since they provide high quality TV stream, I thought I
would try it out. 

The problem seems to be related to the start up of the
stream. There is a small file called Fullfull.mov that
contains instructions for native quicktime players to
pop up in full screen mode. I told the streamtv people
that this file confuses linux video players because of
its fourcc set to GIF, and probably because of stuff
that only native quicktime players can understand. I
actually tried it on a windows system with vlc-windows
and it works fine but I don't have windows myself, and
I simply refuse to use it. So let's see what streamtv
will do. I think they will to provide a fix. But they
were surprised to hear that linux players can play
recent quicktime movies ... pffff, windoze is so
narrow-minding sometimes!
