[MPlayer-users] video_read_frame()

Is the function video_read_frame() not returning the number of bytes read?

I am adding that value to the previous value and printing that value to 
screen.
stopping my video and using "-sb XXX" to seek to a byte position and it 
doesnt
seem to reflect the position. It is less than where I actually was.
I am in the first couple minutes of the dvd.
