[MPlayer-users] -audiofile with AC3 source?

I'm getting ATSC-HD broadcasts with terrible AC3 audio.
I found an external program to repair bad AC3 audio streams,
but mplayer doesn't honor the -audiofile option with an AC3 stream.
I can't seem to find an -audio-demux option that works.
(The stream was created by mplayer -dumpaudio -vo null.)

Any suggestions how to remux my repaired AC3 back with 
the original video?
