[MPlayer-users] after resuming mplayer cannot use xv whereas tvtimes can?

Your card may have multiple XV ports.  Perhaps tvtime is using the
second by default, while mplayer is trying to use the first?  I've had
a vaguely similar problem with an NVidia card.

It wouldn't change, even if the driver is corrupt and can't output
anything to the overlay.
