[MPlayer-users] Saved streams and subtitles?

If I what the broadcast directly with
  mplayer -cache-min 0 dvb://CHANNEL
I can see the subtitles just fine. 

But if I do 
  mplayer -dump-stream dvb://CHANNEL
and then
  mplayer stream.dump
I the subtitles don't show up. 

Is this supposed work?

(I'm using mplayer-1.0-0.lvn.0.19.pre7.3 on Fedora Linux)
