With *cmp=3...  8 hours doesn't sound unreasonable at all.  

If you want to speed it up, the quality should still be (nearly) as good
with those options left at their defaults, and MUCH faster.  At that
bitrate, you probably won't be able to see any difference.

Adding "turbo" will also speed up the process by perhaps 25% or so.
