[MPlayer-users] What are b_frames for and should I use them for my mpeg2 encodings(for DVD) ?

Well I encoded using 1 B-Frame and 2 B-Frames and my observations are

1)  The file is not smaller (I got larger file than the one I got
without using B-Frames)
2)  The quality is definitely better.

May be it all depends upon the kind of source one encodes.

I am sticking to using B-Frames though.
