[MPlayer-users] time-adjust vobsub subtitles?

hi,

i have a video + vobsub subtitles (idx+sub files)..

the problem is the following:

for the first half of the video, the subtitles match perfectly.
and for the second half, i have to shift the subtitles by 8seconds.
(i have to use "-subdelay -8").

question:
are there any programs that can adjust the time-info in vobsub files?
preferably linux programs, but windows ones are fine too.

btw. i cannot convert the vobsubs to text-subs, because they contain 
some quite complicated subtitles positioned all over the screen.
