You don't need this. It is built in

Seems a bit to old try with a current cvs snapshot or at least with pre6

Are you sure you don't have a cribbled suse mplayer package installed
somewhere? I can't tell because your version of MPlayer doesn't print its
version. You should really try with a newer version from mplayerhq and also
read the installation section of the documentation and if this
still doesn't help the bugreports section.
