[MPlayer-users] audio codec problem on Fedora 3

I compiled and installed mplayer together with all the codecs. Playback
from VCD seems OK, however, playback with DVDs (I think only with those
that have AC3 or DTS encoded audio - needs to be confirmed) always give
the following -

Trying to force audio codec driver family ffmpeg...
Opening audio decoder: [ffmpeg] FFmpeg/libavcodec audio decoders
Cannot find codec 'dts' in libavcodec...
ADecoder init failed :(

[libaf] Reinitialization did not work, audio filter 'format' returned

Couldn't find matching filter/ao format!
Starting playback...

This error occurs even when I use -ao option to load oss/ffmpeg/alsa or
probably any other codec! It always says it cannot "find a matching
filter/ao format".

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

Stephen
