I already advised you to have a look at our xvid encoding guide:

This should feature already the informations you're looking for.
Though this may be nice to fusion both documents from a user point of
view because this way you only have to look for information in a
single document, this would not be _that_ wise to do so because the
man page is already bigger than the one of GCC. To put it in a
nutshell, the man page is an exhaustive (and somewhat technical)
source of informations, and the HTML doc is supposed to be more of
sets of recipes to do all kind of stuff.

Just consider that all options are off by default except options
marked as on by default.
