[MPlayer-users] resume playback after closing mplayer

I agree about the unreliable seek, but it is extremely fast.  The files that
I will be using with mplayer are recorded TV shows that I have converted to
avi using mencoder.  I just record them in dvr-ms format, convert to mpg and
then to avi using an automated process to save disk space until I watch and
delete it.

I would still like to be able to do this if it is at all possible.  I have
WAF to consider (Wife Approval Factor) with using compression and mplayer)

mplayer doesn't seek reliably (not even almost) in mpeg* files
