[MPlayer-users] BUG - Garbled output playing realaudio

When playing the live realaudio streams from BBC website the output
from mplayer becomes garbled - it sounds like 2 streams are playing at
the same time but out of sync. I think this has been reported in the
past but I haven't seen a resolution. A typical example is:
mplayer -vo null -cache 128
rtsp://rmlivev8.bbc.net.uk/farm/*/ev7/live24/radio4/live/r4_dsat_g2.ra
This will play quite happily for a while but then after a random time
it becomes garbled. The time can be anything from a few minutes to
hours. I think the problem coinsides with peak time access to the site.
Other pre-recorded streams from the site play without any problems. The
problem seems to happen on mplayer compiled for Windows or Unix.
Has anyone else seen this? Can anyone suggest a resolution?
Thanks
Neil
