The problem with SDL seem to not to be due to XV, this crushs too:
mplayer -vo sdl:x11 /home/vlindos/Robotica_720.wmv
The trouble appears on video card with with 64 and 128 MB RAM.
'-nodouble' option really doesn't help. 
There is minory posibility for problem to comming from the X.org. Debian
Unstable use X 4.3.0 from a while.
